Professional development is a priority! Out-of-School Time (OST) programs help children learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Young people in afterschool programs attend school more often, get better grades, and are more likely to graduate. Providers connect to young people across the state of Wyoming. To encourage professional development and networking, WYEN offers opportunities to convene and to learn from each other.
SHIFTING PERSPECTIVES
Celebrate the power of OST! In America today, 7.6 million children are alone and unsupervised after school. Lights On Afterschool is an annual event that helps raise awareness about ways that afterschool programs keep kids safe, help working families and inspire learning. The Wyoming Enrichment Network provides professional development supports and resources for programs to learn how to make their celebrations fun and effective!
CULTIVATING COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
WYEN regularly convenes community organizations and leaders to explore how they can work better together in ways that benefit young people, their families, and Wyoming’s vibrant future. Learn about the Summer STEM Mentors who are taking professional development to the next level while cultivating important connections this summer.
