PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & NETWORKING

MAKING CONNECTIONS IN WYOMING

Afterschool programs keep kids safe, inspire them to learn, and give working parents peace of mind. They help children learn, grow, and reach their full potential, offering new learning opportunities that help students do better in school and in life. Children in afterschool programs attend school more often, get better grades, and are more likely to graduate. Afterschool providers connect to young people across the state of Wyoming. To encourage professional development and networking, the Alliance offers opportunities to convene and to learn from each other.

Past event: 2025 Early Child Collaborative Conference

Learn, Grow, and Connect

The Wyoming Enrichment Network and our partners presented the Early Childhood Collaborative Conference October 10–11 at Central Wyoming College in Riverton.

Dedicated Tracks:

  • Business/Leadership/Administration
  • Infant/Toddler
  • Preschool
  • School-Age

The 2025 conference featured an incredible lineup of local and national presenters, including Emily Vercoe (WYEN), Rachel Giannini (No Small Matter), Kate Hayes (High Ground Coaching and Development), Joey Burk (Former WYEN Advisory Board Member), Nikki Baldwin (UW), and many more!  The School-Age track placed a spotlight strategies, resources, and connections for programs serving youth beyond the early years—because care and enrichment don’t stop at kindergarten.

Presenting Partners: The Align Team, STARS (Wyoming Statewide Training and Resource System), Wyoming Department of Family Services, Wyoming Early Childhood Professional Learning Collaborative, the Wyoming Business Council, Wyoming Department of Health, Wyoming Early Childhood Outreach Network, Wyoming Department of Education, and the Wyoming Enrichment Network.

Past event: TRAUMA INFORMED & RESPONSIVE TRAINING

A Design to Grow Event: Bridging Theory and Practice to Build Meaningful Connections for Youth

The Trauma Informed & Responsive Training was held Thursday, May 29 and Friday, May 30 at UW Casper College. Presented by CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Douglas Joey Burke, the workshop took participants through essential areas of trauma-informed care. As a part of our commitment to helping our network design to grow, the Wyoming Enrichment Network was happy to partner with Boys and Girls Club of Douglas and Blue Cross Blue Shield to present this important learning opportunity.

Mission: We bridge the gap between Wyoming’s out-of-school programs and the communities they uplift, fueling them with resources, support and opportunities that inspire lifelong learning, growth and connection.
